KRISANNE HALL VISITS WITH ENC TEA PARTY !
Famed dynamo constitutional attorney, KrisAnne Hall, visited with the Eastern NC Tea Party on Friday, July 20th for an informal discussion on the history and significance of the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
KrisAnne talked about the Constitution (with the Bill of Rights) as a document which limits the scope and reach of government in the lives and affairs of individuals. Most Americans don't know that our founding documents are based heavily on the charters that the British drafted over a span of 700 years to prevent tyranny by the King. In fact, parts of our Declaration and Bill of Rights are almost plagiarized from five foundational British documents. Our settlers and founding patriots were not Americans (yet). They were proud British subjects that merely demanded that King George recognize their rights.
Our children are taught in the public school system that the Revolutionary War was fought between Americans and the British. This is not
true. It was a civil war - britons v. britons. It was a secessionist movement because of a history of "injuries and usurpation, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny" over the colonies.
