ARCHIVES: QUOTES of the DAY
"It's summertime, so wear short sleeves and support your right to bare arms !"
"Pro is to con as progress is to Congress!"
"Posterity: you will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it.” --- John Quincy Adams
“A man's country is not a certain area of land, of mountains, rivers, and woods, but it is a principle; and patriotism is loyalty to that principle.”
"May it be to the world, what I believe it will be ... the signal of arousing men to burst the chains ... and to assume the blessings and security of self-government. That form, which we have substituted, restores the free right to the unbounded exercise of reason and freedom of opinion. All eyes are opened, or opening, to the rights of man. ... For ourselves, let the annual return of this day forever refresh our recollections of these rights, and an undiminished devotion to them." --- Thomas Jefferson, in a letter he wrote on the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence
"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion; when you see that in order to produce, you need permission from men who produce nothing; when you see money flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors; when you see that men get richer by
graft and pull than by hard work; when laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you; when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice... then you may know that your society is doomed." --- Ayn Rand

HAPPY 4th of JULY!!
We hope you have a wonderful holiday with family and friends. If you feel the need
to hang your flag upside down (country in distress), we understand !! But after
the parties and fireworks are over, we hope you will realize that we celebrate
something very special on the 4th of July. And this November, we need to take a
bold step at the ballot box, and usher out the party of "transformation" and
usher in representatives committed to "restoration" so that next 4th of July, we
still have a reason to celebrate the Declaraton of Independence. See "Patriot Corner" for the history and signficance of Independence Day.
